Ages ago, life was born in the primitive sea.
遥か昔、原始の海に生命は誕生した。

Young life forms constantly evolved in order to survive.
新しい生物は、生き残るために絶えず進化していった。

Some prospered, some did not, all sorts of life ebbed and flowed like the tide.
あるものは繁栄し、またあるものはそうではなかった。まるで海の潮の満ち引きのように、すべての生命は盛衰していた。

In the quiet rhythm of the mother sea, life grew.
母なる海の静かな鼓動の中で、生命は成長していった。

Always seeking to survive and flourish.
それらは絶えず、生き残りと繁栄を求めていた。

Soon life began to advance towards land, opening new habitats.
やがて生命は新たなる生息地となる、陸へと向かっていった。

A great prosperity came, as life conquered even the highest mountains.
生命が最高峰の山を征服し、大繁栄の時がやってきた。

Mass extinctions came wave after wave,
その後には大量絶滅の波がやってきた。

but empty niches always quickly refilled,
しかし、その滅びた生命のニッチはいつも急速に満たされる。

to once again prosper, grow, and reproduce.
もう一度繁栄するために、繁殖し成長するのだ。

Someday the next great emigration will occur,
いつか、次の壮大な移住が起こるだろう。

as we leave this existence looking for another.
我々はこの存在物をそのままにし、別を探す。

The journey will begin anew.
新たな旅が始まるだろう。

I hold within me, the memories of all that has passed.
私は過去に起こったすべての記憶を抱いている。

　あるものは繁栄し、あるものはそうではなく、全ての種は潮汐のように満ち、引いた。

　母なる海の静寂のリズムの中、生命は育った。 
Always seeking to survive and flourish. 
　常に生き残る術、繁栄する術を探しながら。

　間もなく生命は地上へと上がり、新らしい様式（新たな進化）を始めた。

　大いなる繁栄が訪れた／生命が最も高い山さえ征服したとき。

　大規模な絶滅が後から後からおしよせた。

　だが、空隙は常に速やかに満たされた。

　繁栄、成長、再生は繰り返される。

　いつの日か、次なる移住（転換？）は訪れるだろう。
